JANUARY NEWS AND EVENTS

We hope everyone had a fantastic New Years and we are looking forward to spending an awesome 2012 with you all.

We have some really exciting events planned for this year.

 We have now begun our 2012 winter schedule and are very excited to say that we have added another Little Dragon evening classes on Fridays from 6-7pm.

We are also very excited to present a newly restructured JuJitsu program for 2012 under Sensei Jay Cooper!!!!!!

TOURNAMENT

 Saturday January 21st, Arashi-do will be hosting a tournament in Sylvan Lake . Weigh in at 9am.

Christmas Break

Our last day of regular classes will be held on December 21, 11

We will be closed from December 22nd to December 26th

We will be open on December 27th for karate/TKD open(child class and up welcome) from 6-7pm. Fitness kickboxing will also be held from 6-7pm in Dojo 2.

We are open December 28th for Little Dragons from 6-7pm , as well as open Muay Thai (open for all levels) from 6-7pm in Dojo 2.

December 29th we will be open for karate/TKD from 6-7pm (child class and up welcome), as well Fitness Kickboxing from 6-7pm in Dojo 2.

We will be closed December 30th, 31st and January 1st, 12

We will re-open for our winter classes January 2nd, 2012.

On behalf of 5 Elements Martial Arts we would like to wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to seeing you all in January.

December Updates – Class Changes & Cancellations

The following classes will be cancelled as of December 1st, 2011:

Mondays 8-9PM Fit2Fight will be cancelled.

Saturdays 10-11am Bootcamp will be cancelled.

The following classes will be changing as of December 1st, 2011:

Thursdays 8-9PM Bootcamp will be changing to Fitness Kickboxing

Fridays 6-7PM Beginner Muay Thai will be changing to Intermediate Muay Thai

World Karate Kickboxing Council World Championships

A big shoutout to all of our members who qualified and are representing Canada at the Worlds in Cadiz, Spain. The championships kicked off yesterday.

Sensei Maeghen was also featured in the October edition of the Calgary Journal.

Happy November!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween and is enjoying themselves.

Here’s what’s going on with 5 Elements for November,

Tournaments

Saturday November 12 – Medicine Hat Open Tournament

Saturday November 12 – Arashi-Do Tournament in Red Deer

Saturday November 26 – Kicks Tournament in Calgary

December 3 – 5 Elements in-house tournament. (Ages 3-Adult. $25 if registered by Nov 26. for First Division and $5 for every additional division. Pre-registration cut-off date is November 26. $30 at the door and $10 for every additional division.)

Seminars

Saturday November 19 3:30-5:00 PM – Street Self Defense seminar. (Ages 9-Adult. $25+tax. Hosted by Sifu Cooper. Members and non-members are welcome!)

Sunday November 27 – Sparring seminar with Sensei Francis.

1PM – Beginner

2PM – Green Belt and up.

($20 for 1 seminar, $30 for both.)

Testing

Saturday December 17 @ 1PM

There is an alternate testing date scheduled for Saturday January 14 @ 1PM.

Private lessons available, book early to ensure the best days/times!
